Desktop Support Technician


The main functions of this post are:-

• Onsite support of hardware, software and network connectivity issues to our various customers
• Provide support on the operational functions to supported offices for the organization’s standard hardware, software and voice/data solutions
• Maintenance of systems documentation such as key operating manuals
• Monitoring and carrying out of daily check list activities in offices to ensure that they are completed on a regular basis
• Provide support to the rest of the team members

The chosen individual will possess the following minimum qualifications:-

• Have a technical education, up to diploma or A-level standard
• Possess a Windows 7 Desktop and / or Server qualification
• Preferably CCNA qualified
• Has several years hands on experience supporting Windows systems and networking technologies in an office environment
• Suitably qualified to support a varied range of tools and equipment, commonly found in today’s IT environment

We are looking for a person possessing the following qualities:-

• A strong customer centric approach, able to manage customers with very high expectations and tight deadlines
• Able to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing in English with a varied range of stakeholders, both internal and external
• Be able to integrate well and participate in a team of highly enthusiastic individuals, while also being able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Have a strong willingness to learn and further improve his/her potential
• Be innovative and proactive when troubleshooting, and able to take technical decisions responsibly and in line with the company vision
